After having removed an application with AppCleaner, I also inspect these folders for residues: /Library /Library/Preferences ~/Library ~/Library/Preferences ~/Library/Services ~/Library/LaunchAgents /System/Library/LaunchAgents /System/Library/Services /System/Library/LaunchDaemons /Library/LaunchDaemons /Library/LaunchAgents /Applications/Utilities AppCleaner might not find everything. Maybe it's an overkill, but I like to clean out thoroughly. Be sure to only delete files and folders that you know are associated with the removed application
macOS doesn't have a Registry like Windows does. The Registry is what makes Windows a mess because nobody really knows what's written into it. So there is nothing to be worried about
