    application/x-gzip-compressed
windows xp/ vista/ windows7 all seam to have the bug that the webbrowser all of a sudden does not support X-Gzip-compression any more
(or people fiddled arround with the server, trying to optimize)

I understand why Zipped transfer for HTML pages
but this mime type should be supported in IE4/IE5/Ie6/Ie7/Ie8...

Is there a usable patch out there to solve the issue for ever....
    on the client side .

    patching the registry .... ???
can someone set me on the road to solve this issue ...
I did google arround and find tons about the why .... but no real sollution ..
this is a problem that is arround for years.

    please assist

    thanks on beforehand.
