Okay, Background: Asus Rampage IV Gene, and Extreme. I know this might sound off the wall and its way beyond my skill grade to prove, but I have been unsuccessfully trying to USB Flash back my bios to an older version since the specter Microcode patches have happened(Win 10 Spring 2018). Am I losing my mind or can I no longer flash my bios back to something other than current because of the Microcode updates? Thanks, XDragon PS even unsuccessful @ using B4B updated modules for 4901 on my MoBo
Well call me stupidsta, I put an E5-2687w back in my system from an E5-2667v2. Re-formatted an old 8GB with diskpart clean before hand and did an ERALL.CAP. Low and behold my bios came back. Then I swapped my previously crudded bios chip back in and did the same. Now I have two freshly flashed 4901 incase I mess up again . Afterwards I put the E5-2667v2 back in and am rolling again. XDragon PS just wish I would have had a sector backup of the MBR on that disk to see why it was crapping up flash back
