Ask about memory

    hi guys i'm planning to buy a new memory this week and i saw a cheaper OCZ Reaper ddr2 800 4gb dual cl5 (2gb x 2)(OCZ2RPR8004GK) do you think it will be compatible with my system my psu is PSU 550Watts


    Processor = Intel Pentium e5300 Dual Core 2.60Ghz
    Mobo = Asrock G31M-S
    HDD = 500gb Seagate Barracuda
    Video Card = Sparkle 9500GT 512mb

    The only problem with manufacturers list is it's not up to date. motherboard is few years old and you won't find any of the new RAM modules in their tested list and second is they can't possibly test all RAM modules for compatibility. all of my boards had RAM in them that weren't in the compatibility list but they run without any issues. OCZ is reputable manufacturer so I don't think there would be any problems.

    thanks guys for the information... the patriot memory is too expensive for me and i'm planning to change my mobo but still a lga775 with 4 slot ddr2 memory :p

    Memory compatibility isn't determined by PSU btw
