I dont know if I want to be the Guinea pig on this? Alessio[IT] did 1.80 for my P45R2000-WiFi and it works perfect on Vista & XP for me. Do you want to check his out and compare to yours? http://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/56131 I believe he used some AMI tool to patch?
1; The mod should work just fine. Nobody here can give you a 100% assurance that their mod will not mess up your MB 2; AMI BIOS motherboards are easily fixed if the mod breaks it. I've included a link to the step-by-step fix procedure. All you need is a FDD with a diskette. Yet again, I take no responsibility for any damages. 3; I have used tools from this forum and when I have time I'll upload a propper mod with multiple vendor SLP1 mod. I would test it myself, but I am currently working abroad. Ill test it in May or June. And also, if you're not using the Logitech illuminated keyboard, then you don't need asrock bios 1.90.
@ madaload, AMI BIOS motherboards are easily fixed if the mod breaks it this is true for most but not for ASRock motherboard bioses they don't have normal ami bios recovery it has been removed to save space.
This would appear to be a tool mod, most likely AndyP's tool. I think it would be ok, Alessio[IT] used the SLIC_3 tool a lot, and Andy's tool is much better. If the mod is bad, it may not even start to flash. I would not flash the bootblock if you dont need to..Flash without the switches.
