    Hello guys,
I am in trouble here, 2days ago I decided to update my windows from 7 to 8.1, clean install. No problem there, then I download this bios from Asus, dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/K55VM/K55VMAS211.zip , I updated it using WinFlash from Asus, the WinFlash said its the right bios, after I load optimized default at bios menu, the laptop restarted and wont boot.

    Im using :
    Asus A55vm
    Motherboard type K55vm
    AMI Bios
    current OS win 8.1
Original bios version 206, updated to 211

What I've tried so far :
-I already tried to reset the CMOS battery (by unplugged it)
-Bios recovery procedure based on ,forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/870-Bios-Recovery-Procedures , Iam using CD and Flash disk to boot the drive. There's no respond at all when using Flash disk, there's some activity when using CD but it stop after 10-15s. I can't really find the right bios/bios name to doing Boot Block recovery, i already tried to rename it to amiboot.rom but nothing happened (im not really sure its the right file/bios)

If there's someone who had same problem and fixed it, or anyone who can help, please help me :(
Thanks in advance, sorry for my bad english

Not sure for your bios but you could try

format usb thumb drive to fat32 and rename original K55VMAS.211 file to K55VM.211

    UEFI BIOS Recovery Instructions

While powering on the system, keep pressing <Ctrl> and <Home> simultaneously on your PS2 or USB keyboard until your hear two short beeps.

    part of slic.log from phoenixtool

    Code:
    Finished Extracting
    Tiano module compression method used
    EFI / Insyde BIOS
    Recovery filenames are:

    K55VM.bin
    K55VM.211

I tried to follow your instructions, but it seems the laptop doesnt detect my usb. Then i tried with CD, the drive running for about 20s then stop. still blank.

Any other options? aside from take it to service center :(
