Hello Everyone, It seems my account was killed of for some reason, so I am posting under a new name. Anyways, I have an Asus A7V8X and I am trying to get Computer Activated by having the bios modded for windows Home Server (The first one). Since many links are down, I wanted to ask is the Bios mod the way to go to activate WHS or is there another way. I have looked at the awardtool but it seems to be geared towards slic 2.0 and slic 2.1 I have the asus bios files, but from what I have read the hp bios files are the ones to go with I also have those. Thank you. PS. I posted in the server thread since it is trying the get the server activated, I don't care if it is by bios or whatever.
just wanted to post. i tried the link you had posted, however it gives pnp errors when i try to save the dmi data.
