Hi, a friend of mine has win7 installed on her Asus Eee PC 1001P she wanted to upgrade it to win10 she had an error that the system is not compatible, is there a way around that ie installing win10 on that laptop? Thanks in advance abbs
If there is an option in the BIOS, like enable - (Execute Disabled Bit), Execute Disabled Memory Protection, and No Execute Memory Protect. But I wouldn't run it, Motherboards needed a BIOS update to run windows 8, and ASUS hasn't put out a BIOS update for this to run on 8, so it might have problems with 10 even if you can get 10 to install.
that model is quite old.....if u can upgrade to win 8.....i dont see why not 10......have u guys tried to upgrade to win 8 first and see if it works?
Yes, it is possible. I have Eee PC 1001 HA. Original system Windows 7 Starter --> Windows 7 Home Basic --> Windows 10 Home (all system 32 bit). Bios 1601, RAM 2GB (was 1GB). Works fine. P.S. Remember the procedurÄ™. First upgrade, next clean install. Windows 7 activated by DAZ loader.
Anything is possible.... However I installed Windows 10 on a MSI Wind U100 that I bought in 2008 which came with XP and Windows 10 worked great on it. Windows 8 would not allow modern UI apps to run but Windows 10 does.

Hi abbs, I do have a HP 2140 Mini, same configuration as your Asus Eee PC 1001P, with the very first Intel Atom Chipset, working almost fine with Windows 10 Pro x86 Build 10547, I believe it will work fine for you too.
Thanks for taking the time, have you an iphone for any complex computing, might be worth looking into.
