    Hey,

    i got a pc with
    Asus "M2N32-SLI Deluxe/Wireless Edition" MoBo: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M2N32SLI_DeluxeWireless_Edition/

    PC doesn't start, blank screen, no beeps, only fans running. I changed PSU, RAM and videocard (3 different cards!) in both PCIe-slots.
    I'm very sure that the bios is corrupted, because the cmos-battery was completely discharged and i read many reports of corrupted bios with this boards and exactly the same behaviour.

    The recovery "Asus crashFree BIOS 3-program" doesn't work, even the usb-stick shows no access (led stays dark).

    The bios-chip has a socket (PLCC32), so it is possible to remove it from the board and use a programmer for re-flashing. I have a buspirat, but no skills using it. :death:

    Any suggestions? Thanx!

    check to see if flashrom with enable buspirate setting works..
    or even old LAN card with socket.. 512k max filesize.

    or hotswap method (Boot to dos and swap bios chip then run the flashtool) in another mainboard with plcc32 socket and the awdflash with special switch to ignore part (mobo and chip) to force it

    Last method is interesting. Can you tell me the necessary switches to override mismatching? Perhaps i'll find a mobo.....

    Can it repair also a corrupted bootblock? Or do a reflash of the complete content of the eeprom?

    yes i have repaired bad bootblock bios this way

    it depends which its calling for..

    AWDFLASH biosfile /py/sn/f/Qi

    These switches will cause AwdFlash to do the following:

    /py — reprogram the flash memory with the contents of bios_file without asking for confirmations (here p means Program, y means Yes);
    /sn — do not save the old BIOS (Save=No);
    /f — do not check if the BIOS in the bios_file file is intended for this particular motherboard and if this is a BIOS file at all (Force reprogramming);
    /r — reboot the computer after flashing is complete (Reboot). If you don't need this — just don't use this switch;
    /cd and /cp — clear some setup data. It is highly recommended to use these switches (Clear DMI data, Clear PNP data). It is also recommended to add one more switch — /cc, to automatically Clear CMOS.
    /Qi qualify internaly the matching part number
