ASUS N82JQ (Laptop) with AMI bios

    Could someone please refer me to information regarding bios files ending in numerical extensions.

    the bios on this laptop is an american micro trends (AMI) bios, after downloading the latest bios file from the manufacturers website I am left with a file called "N82JQAS.209".

    When I try to load it into AMITOOL it says "not an AMI bios".

    Is there a step I am missing to convert the N82JQAS.209 file to a .ROM or .BIN ?

    It's an AMI Aptio EFI Bios.
    You need to make a R/W Everything report and use the Phoenix Mod Tool.
