I successfully flashed my P4P800 with a modified bios (1012.006 beta) and when I use Daz' loader it says it was successful. However, Windows still shows that it is not genuine/not activated.

Here is the bios I used from the "All Slics - tested and not tested" thread:

I tried the software loader and it worked fine, its just the bios activation that won't work.

    Any ideas?

Yup.. no need for aloader when using BIOS mod.
I have a P4P800 and it works just fine using the AMI tool.
I've been using modded BIOS with Vista (for couple of years) and have now upgraded to SLIC 2.1. Again no issues at all.

    Cheers

That mod is a slic 2.0 mod, not a 2.1 mod so if you were trying to do win7 it won't work, it's for Vista.

Yes it's the same BIOS for both models according to ASUS.

you'd be surprised the old hardware 7 works well on, it works great on p4p800's but even older boards like the p4s333 work ok with it.

Well so far it seems good, it shows its activated (no loader installed) and I can do all the windows updates etc. The boot/Startup is a little slow because of my old CPU but activaction-wise I'm running fine :)

On nforce 2 chipset (ASUS A7N8X deluxe) it works fantastic, too. :)

I've used p4p800 boards for many years, good solid boards... only thing that ever goes wrong is power regulators blow (usually the one behind the agp port) but they're easy to change or you just put heatsinks on them to prevent them dying, it's all related to heat and being in a very hot climate they tend to be a bit of an issue here.
