Hi guys. Well Santa is guunna be coming soon and on my wish list there is a new cpu for my new build. I bought a short while back an Asus Sabertooth P67 B3,got it for a good price at the time I could not stretch to the Z77 Sabertooth. been looking at chips to go with this board and I have made a short list of two which my budget will allow.I am certinally not Rockefeller. The two in my list are the and the I have read on the Asus site that with the latest BIOS the Ivybridge will work. I also have been reading up on the web about this matter and read one or two folk have had bother with the Ivybridge on the P67 platform. I would like to ask as anybody on here got a Sabertooth P67 B3 and running an Ivybridge CPU,or any P67 mobo really. or should I just but the slightly older Sandybridge. Any feedback would be great... Plumped for this RAM with Cheers...
Bought the i5 3570K. £149. Coming tommorow. Very nice. Will flash the BIOS to the latest. Test. Mod the ROM to hold SLIC 2.1 then reflash. test. then build up my new machine. Might have to wait till I give my son his xmas pressy of his i3 before I can get my Celeron out oh his machine to do the BIOS flashing. No big deal though. All my new bits are coming tommorow...NICE !

I did buy the P67 but it turned out to be a bad buy. So I did end up getting a brand new Sabertooth Z77 and the i53570K. Infact I have just got my new rig up and running today. I really like this board, got a lot to learn about it though. With my Corsair H100 I recon an OC to 4 or even 4.5 is possible, just got to read up about it first. Took a nice little pic.
