    Hello all!

I was able to SLIC/BIOS mod my Sabertooth Z77 board, can the same be done for the X99 board (with Win10 E/Pro)?

    Thanks! :)

10 doesn't use slic, it uses oem:Dm and it's not "injectable".

Ok, thanks! (still learning everything about Win10 - *hate* being a n00b at things :( )

Sabertooth x99, been thinking of going from my Sabertooth Z77 to X99.

What do you recon to the new board ?
    Worth the extra pennies ?

What the rest of your spec ?

I got the i7-6850K Unlocked CPU, Asus ROG STRIX 1080 AG8, Corsair HX1200i (kinda wish I'd gone with the AX1200i, but not sure how much actual difference there is), 64gb G.Skill ram (yeah, overkill, but I got it at only a bit more than the cost of 32gb), the CoolerMaster Cosmos II case (big, but not all it *could* be), and Corsair H100i cooler (the Cosmos II won't mount push/pull with the H115i, plus I've read about some firmware issues with the H115i - diff companies make the firmware between the H115i & H100i). No idea on the performance yet, still waiting on some components to finish things off. I will say that I wish Asus had included a couple extra internal USB 2.0 ports on the board (there are only 2) - there are 2 USB 3.0 ports though, so I got a 2.0 to 3.0 adapter so I can connect the PSU). I flip-flopped back & forth between the X99 and the Sabertooth Z97 boards. Will be interesting to see what it all benches at when things are finished :)

    Sounds nice.
I have built a couple of machines with Asus Pro Gamer Z170 and have issues with xmp not holding the OC on cold boot.
Have you had such problem with X99 ?

Sorry for sort of hijacking this thread, won't ask any more questions.

Well, I don't have it up and running yet, so I've no idea. But been running the Sabertooth Z77 since it was released. :)

I think the Sabertooth series are the best around.
