I felt adventurous and followed a guide to unlock the system backup partitions. On my Asus T100-chi laptop. Then it wouldn't boot into Win8.1 Simply because I changed the rights to some installation files on my factory reset partition. A system restore through the special boot feature in this Asus device does nothing. From the menu to reinstall from the factory partition. It says it cannot find the Win8.1 installation files. This device has 1 micro-USB 3.0 B connector. And even when it would boot I could not get any USB device working though this connector. I need advice on how to get a bootable USB wit Win8.1 onto this laptop fo a complete reinstall. I did save the Factory key for my Win8.1 early on.
