I am trying to get Minecraft working on 7989, but it gives an error about drivers. I tried to install drivers from ATI(From Sony,OEM specific stuff. >.<) but it says "Failed to find any installable components!" then exits. Does anyone have an idea what's going on? I can provide a link to the Sony specific driver, if needed. I already tried drivers from the ATI site, but just like on W7, it says I need drivers from my manufacturer. EDIT: New ATI driver out...it installs the Control Center....but not the driver. :\ EDIT2: That was desktop drivers... not laptop. Laptop drivers still say not supported.
These are x64 drivers. Sony only provides 64 bit drivers since the Windows that they ship with it is x64....which is a dumb move.
If it helps, I had no problem at all with installing any of my AMD devices (SATA, Northbridge and USB Filter, and Radeon HD 3200) via the Mobility Downloader, and the normal 11.6 packages. If anything, you might just have to do a search for the mobility graphics package for 11.6, and then manually install it, via device manager
Could you link me to this Mobility Downloader? All I find is Mobility MODDER,and I'm sure that's not it.
I was referring to that downloader that AMD makes you use to get the mobility AMD drivers (it's their verify thing also to see if your using a "supported" notebook)
