I`ve just been reading the updates thread and it seems to me that you guys are making life far too complicated. Autopatcher has kept my install of XP updated for over a year and now it supports Windows 7. I`ve just applied all the security updates to my BIE install of 64bit Win 7 and it worked perfectly.
Autopatcher is superlative software that is powerful, flexible and portable. AP may be overkill for an existing installation of Windows 7 but it is indispensable for maintenance and repair of multiple Windows machines. I just wish the Windows 7 release included a comprehensive set of registry tweaks like the XP release features. Refer to my earlier posts for detailed Autopatcher instructions.
To the original poster, I went to the Autopatcher site and on the forums and couldn't find an official release of an autopatcher for Windows 7
@Neo 1) BIE is a release group @dinker99 1) BIE has released OEM:SLP activated Windows 7 at a earlier stage, only there used loaded got flagged by KB971033 update turning it into a non-genuine Windows 7 2) BIE now only releases KMS activated Windows 7 (Enterprise) 3) urie's comment is aimed at the OEM:SLP activated Windows 7 BIE release, not the KMS activated BIE Windows 7 release
