undoubtedly Eset because Avast is cluttered with useless features imo such as the one you talk about, I don't see the point in trusting a 3rd party app to use Windows features i can access with one single click ! I used them both (Eset for 3 years, then NAV, had a go at Avast never really trusted which had lots of false postive and let a rootkit thru. I presently switched to Webroot secure anywhere and I'll stick to it for some time.
I agree to a point but you can pick and choose what "useless" options you want installed during installation of Avast! so you don't necessarily have to have those options. I like them both but am currently using Avast!, if not for nothing else for pricing reasons. Eset is somewhat more expensive than Avast! If you wouldn't mind throwing that Eset key my way I would be more than happy to put it to good use
AVG is the worst of all the aformentioned. Followed by MS. I've recently come across this infection, and its been over 2 weeks and AVG and many more have yet to catch it: Search for: Code: 2a5f2de11a35132a654da679e517f7a777c49a8bd28d6c3608659f6bc4950611 Here: virustotal.com/en/#search Here's another one, same family. Earlier on, only ESET and Kaspersky caught it: Search for: Code: 56eb4664343878d3d03a300d146e7b4cd6770c604db968af03d023356286ba95 Here: virustotal.com/en/#search
besides lightweight Eset NOD32 has no other positive points.Avast is also a middle man.Kaspersky is number one.it has never failed me.
