Action Center says Avast is turned off(false)
Strange, so how the heck did they claim Windows 8.1 support since even the previous BETA. This is the final so I didn't expect this at all
Support for Windows 8.1 preview in the previous beta's Basically this is a release version with official Windows 8.1 support.
Avast 2014 (9.x series) is currently in beta testing, currently at version 9.0.2000. It is very much a beta version, so don't expect it to be in full working order if you decide to try it out .
Strange. In my case, Action Center recognizes Avast and does not show that information to install an anti-virus software.
Using the latest Avast in Windows 8.1 RTM.
Now it works, maybe an update did the trick
lol..found the problem...it seems that I downloaded the wrong version(8.0.1489) .....I downloaded again, this time the correct version and everything went smoothly.
