AVI file duration fix?

    I've got a couple of AVI files that when I play in VLC/Media Player, it shows the full 60 minutes. My XBOX 360 only reports 10 or 15 minutes etc. If you play them on the 360, it plays the video until the "duration" has met but the audio continues to play.

    "AVIcodec" program I downloaded shows the incorrect duration too.

    Is there any way to fix the duration without re-encoding?

    Thanks. That link recommended DivFix++ which worked and is free and free of ads :)
