I have been tangling about a little bit with award bioses with cbrom but still some questions remain unclear to me. In cbrom, there is this option /jpeg_eng that supposedly adds jpeg decoding engine to bios, but will that enable me to use over 8-bit color depth images (ie. over 256 colors in image) or will that be still restricted even if there would be plenty of space in bios image file? And is there any sane way to extract cpu microcode updates portion without corrupting bios image? /nc_cpucode extract will not work, at least not with this abit bios image that I have been tampering with =) All it does is to corrupt the bios image completely. Thanks in advance for any insightful ideas and thoughts.
