    That ami_slic3 tool is really old. Won't work on many newer mobos. Theres updated better one in other thread on forums ;)

    Hey man have some faith, I'm ben01chambers. The AMI_SLIC tool has been around for ages and in my experience has a 100% sucess rate. The AWARD tool (made by me) does what it claims and uses the ISA method to patch, it's a very simple way of doing it and it doesn't work for every motherboard. Lots of people have had sucess with it though and off the top of my head I can't remember anyone reporting a bricked Mobo from using it. Just make sure you flash your BIOS correctly.
    angelofdeath also made one using MY source code so just remember this is the original.

    What I'm saying is that the ami_slic tool in that post is almost year old. I'd use the updated AMI_SLIC3_20080419

    And you are right on that it is great tool indeed. Have modded last four P5Q deluxe bioses with it without any problems :cool:

    very old now, technology moves rapidly. not for activating windows 7 i don't think so, we're at slic 2.1 now :eek:

    This tool is very old now and not supported newer bios tools available on forum Closing this old thread.
