I made backup of Office 2013 activation in Windows 7. Then, I did a clean installation of Windows 8. I re-installed Office 2013 into Windows 8. I pasted "Office Software Protection Platform" folder in c:\programdata\Microsoft. Computer still saying Office 2013 not activated. Please help.
Activation of Office 2013 in W8 is stored in the same place as W8 activation (C:\Windows\System32\spp\store). This folder doesn't exist in W7, so the activation scheme is different. I don't think it's possible to restore your activation in W8. PS: You should have posted this question in the existing thread for this topic: forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/38592-How-to-Back-up-Office-2013-Activation-if-possible
Plus, the ID your office had should be different now, since you are running a different OS... Not sure about this though.
Could you not just write down the Confirmation Code you received then reenter after you install? Works for me.
You are obsolutely right, I tried on my dual boot Win 7 and Win 8, installed Office 2013 on both : Differents office ID and activation ID of course, so we can't backup an Office 2013 activation under Win7 and use it under Win 8 on the same computer
Office 13 retail MSDN installed on activated windows 8 (Media Center / Additional Feature also activate via MS offer). Activate office 2013 via phone (Internet connection "ON"). Installed office 2013 on windows 7. while open Word 2013 it asked for the sign in. Entered the product key and office 2013 activated.
