Earliest Windows 8 Beta x64 build with Generic Display Driver is build 7880. Earliest Windows 8 x86 build with generic display driver is supposedly build 7927. Haven't tested yet. Required files from build 7880 (raw):
I'm wondering if the .inf "invalid service installation section" error is because the VGA video driver is there. So what if we remove the VGA video driver completely, thereby allowing the driver to install.
or something's blocking the driver from installing tried every single modification to the service installation section, no dice
Not trying to step on any toes, but maybe get in touch with canonkong at the win-raid forums? He has been able to do some amazing things??
don't forget: remove/patch everything requiring vga driver to operate (as in, make windows boot after the vga driver files get deleted)
