Battery is not holding charge

    Toshiba Satellite L655-11N

    the computer detects the battery but I tried most of the suggested solutions and none of them work for me

    The battery doesn't charge even if I leave it connected for long time

    Please help

    Is this an old laptop ?

    Nowt lasts forever. Either buy a new battery or leave it plugged in all the time.

    You don't mention if it working while plugged in or not, I am guessing it still works.

    After you get a new one and if you're interested in taking things apart
    you will find that one set of cells has shorted or flipped polarity
    take them out zap them with a charger, and they might return to life
    for a while.

    I have been using it for two years and half, and it's working with the laptop plugged in
