Would someone tell me how to find the .FD file in a newer Insyde downloaded bios exe file. I have extracted everything in it that can be extracted and cannot find it.
Hi bridx, I think I'm getting somewhere. I extracted Acer bios 1.07 and I didn't find a .FD, but I found ZYW_107.exe. I believe that is the bios file because I saw where someone sent that to BDMaster as the bios file. Could I rename that to BIOS.FD and do an Emergency flash?
Am well vast at doing bios/uefi reprogramming using external programming machines, but again if you could provide the machine make your working on, it will be easier for me to help where I can. Regards.
open the .exe with 7zip as if it were anb archive. (you could also change the filename to "ZYW_107.exe.7z", causing 7zip to be the default handler for the file) Within the .exe file you'll find normal files, including your .fd bios file.
