Hi I previously had a bios mod working that allowed me to disable the cpu/system fan check in order to avoid the error 90b "System fan error laptop will shutdown in 30 seconds if you don't press enter message upon boot up". I'm cooling my laptop via external means and have no issues but can't recall what mod I had to do this as it was quite some time ago. My current mod is F.1B if that helps. Thanks in advance Elie
Please provide the exact model# of your DV6 laptop. We can cross reference HP's website for the BIOS package name (ex: sp#####.exe) and then see if the donovan6000 guy has already made a patched BIOS available. At this point, I'm not sure if my DV6 sp55068 BIOS is compatible with your model.
Um I think i've tried all those bios's in that thread to no avail. I tried again and now I'm getting the error: IHISI:Get platform info fail in SMI!
