Apparently my post count must be 2 or greater. I am new to BIOS hacking and having a problem, but I can't post links yet. Details to follow in my second post.

Hi, I have an Asus Digimatrix which has an onboard SIS chipset (330 series). It has DVI-out and is currently connected to a 720p television which supports up to 1366x768. However, I am only able to get 1024x768 from the video output. Apparently this is a common problem with onboard SIS video bioses.

I flashed to the latest ASUS bios (1006q) and it still did not work.

I tried using CBROM per the above link and can't really get what seems like the right output from my BIOS.

Older CBROM versions state "AWARD BIOS NOT VERSION 6.00". Well, it is, according to my boot screen.

CBROM 2.19 give me some gibberish:

    C:\DOCUME~1\user\MYDOCU~1\DOWNLO~1\BIOS>cbrom219.exe 1006q.awd /d
CBROM V2.19 (C)Award Software 2001 All Rights Reserved.

CDROM32 v1.55 seems to be missing something?

and CBROM32 v195 locks up - it pegs my CPU and never returns any output.

So, I'm kind of stuck here.

    Any thoughts?

My plan was to take a newer SIS video bios from another onboard system's which is a later version than version 2.28 and drop it into my Digimatrix BIOS. Asus's website won't allow me to direct hardlink to the BIOS download, but you can navigate to it via the javascript links on the page in my first ASUS link, above.

Is what I want to do feasible? I am a newb to BIOS-hacking.. this is far different than erase the old eeproms with UV light and reprogram like we used to do 15 years ago... :-S
