    Hello,

I searched the site and found that the BIOS Mod for the Dell Inspiron 8200, with SLIC 2.1, was done some time back in 2007, I believe. The most recent request for it that I saw was on Jan 1, 2011, by doodah, and in that post, the filename was:
    Dell_Inspiron- 8200_A11_Dell_SLP21_SSv2.rar . . . with a urlisdown link.
In his request, he said "I tried using the PhoenixTool but it gave me an error 'Error 57 - The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open'", so I figure I'll probably get the same error.

If I have to, I can perform all of the steps to request a new Mod, but I'm hoping you can find the one that's already done and let me have it.

    Thanks in advance, :shake:

    Craig

    Thanks urie,

Since you think it would be best for me to submit a proper request, I'll do that and get it in. I asked for it this way because the instructions said to first check and see if the Mod had already been done, so I thought I was saving you time.

Thanks. Flashed from floppy. 8200 does not boot from USB. Works great!
