Not best solution. You will loose existing DMI data/get different DMI with a new bios chip. Better: Read out the memory content and clean it like shown in the second YT-video. Are you able to desolder the bios-chip?
Can you make a read-out with Intel Flash Programming Tool (or easier: BACKUP_Tools19 or BACKUP_Tools20, you'll find it via Google, has a comfortable GUI and logs) and attach the result to a PM to me? I'll have a look, maybe a cleaned ROM can flashed w/ IFPT.
I can definitely try that out. I'll download the BACKUP_Tools20 and run the read-out with it. I'll attach the log file to a PM for you to take a look. Hopefully, we can get a cleaned ROM flashed with IFPT. Will keep you updated!
Did you bypass the bios security? ive been strugling with the same thing for a couple of months now, i can use the laptop but cant install linux or replace the ssd
Best solution, as i wrote month ago, is to clean the bios from password shown in the linked YT-video. Based on the dump of the bios of the machine to preserve the individual data!
