BIOS shows single channel RAM, but I have dual channel.

    I have a Gateway MT6821 with Phoenix BIOS 77.14. I have dual channel RAM, but in BIOS it shows only one stick in single channel mode in SLOT 1. I know that both sticks and slots are functioning, because I've put one stick at a time in both slots. How can I troubleshoot and/or rectify this problem?

    It's possible that your chipset doesn't support memory in dual-channel mode. This is true for a Gateway ML3109 that I have.
