@moderate: Your initial post is very interesting. Thank you. Where did you get your updated Option ROMs from? Is there a web database? While we are talking about BIOS meddling. I have a socket M notebook, but I think there is a wrong BIOS CPU configuration for a certain CPU embedded (Windows 8 reports a firmware problem). And not all socket M CPUs are supported, although the chipset should really be compatible. Some CPUs work, some others not, although they have the same CPUID. Does anyone know how to enable CPUs in the BIOS? I'd like to discuss and try myself. I can provide the link to the AMI BIOS binary. I appreciate any help.
Seems alright to me. I will upload it if anyone wants. 1st Post: MD5: 92989dd7295fc4e0b399d1e29f96c0b6 *SLIC_v2-2.rar Code: File: SLIC_v2-2.rar CRC-32: 9bccf9fb MD4: 0d0ea07b9f95311d841e12ab9939cf3f MD5: 92989dd7295fc4e0b399d1e29f96c0b6 SHA-1: b381c16ae65aeaffa6013e366c9edd657611dff6 91.5 MB (96,014,027 bytes)
