Uniflash 1.40 http://www.uniflash.org/download/uf140.zip - UniFlash is a flash utility, that can flash BIOS on many boards.
UniFlash is made to be universal - this can be useful when you're hot-flashing your bios in another motherboard.
Not only that - it supports some PCI cards too and also supports c't Flasher ISA card.

CBROM 2.15 http://depositfiles.com/files/628595 or CBROM 2.19 http://depositfiles.com/files/628597 - A tool to add, edit or exchange the components of an Award Modular BIOS. The tool is needed to edit and exchange ACPI digital byte-code table.

MODBIN6 2.01.01 http://depositfiles.com/files/628602 - Used to modify the Award Modular BIOS strings or options. The tool is needed to modify Award core BIOS module, as CBROM is unable to edit the BIOS module.

WinHEX http://www.x-ways.net/winhex/ - A popular HEX editor used to modify content in the ACPI table.

HWDirect http://www.eprotek.com/download.html - An advanced low-level hardware register access software tool for Windows, used to dump the memory contents.

SLIC - Checksum Fixer - run then drag slic bin onto to check and correct

    Two more......:)

One of the best tools: ACPIScope:

    www.tssc.de/products/tools/acpiscope/

Gives a excellent overview and analysis of ACPI tables. Some need to install it to get informations to cooperate with the one who tries to mod a picky bios. IMO better than HWdirect.......

    and

latest PBE: 2.2: (Phoenix Bios Editor 2.2)

    http://rapidshare.com/files/42340978/PhoenixBiosEditor2.2.zip.html

BTW: Please note that the Award mod-methods that are using modbin are out of date and were the first steps into the right direction.

THX to Amiga for the collection.

I found this great forum talking about vista. I see the oem mod bios requests but didn't found how to dump oem infos from another real oem pc, so I searched on the net and found this very NEW (released yesterday!!!) tiny application to do that:

vista oem certs + slic table dumper
    MD5: 59dbb2f0277d1981bdb26e9813d58a0b
    Password: my_vista_is_good

Maybe you can add it to your great BIOS tools list!

    urie,

I patched my BIOS, activated Vista:), but there is a trojan in the programme AMI_SLIC3.exe, detected by DrWeb (Trojan.MulDrop.8685) and Kaspersky (Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Delf.bq).

Do BIOSes become infected while patching with this programme?

Have u a healthy copy of this programme?

    DMIScope_1.00.006

DMIScope is a powerful tool designed to explore the System Management BIOS (SMBIOS) also known as DMI BIOS.
Some implementations of SMBIOS contain vendor specific information. DMIScope gives you the unique possibility to add descriptions of such structures via simple text file.

Does your motherboard support the updating of SMBIOS (DMI) information at a run time?
DMIScope will test your SMBIOS (DMI BIOS) for write capability and allow to modify that information. Do you need to customize some SMBIOS data, for example system serial number? DMIScope will help you.

DMIScope help system contains a detailed description of all standard DMI data structures and access mechanisms in accordance to SMBIOS Specification v2.3.1.

DMIScope shows all SMBIOS information in different formats:
    - List of SMBIOS structures and fields
    - Text report
    - String table for every SMBIOS structure
    - Binary dump
Open format of SMBIOS structures stored in a text file allows easy modification and addition of new structures.
A possibility to save SMBIOS information to a file is useful for exploring remote machines and creating a collection of SMBIOS snapshots.
A possibility to compare SMBIOS information.
DMIScope Console Agent allows to display and modify SMBIOS structures from DOS box / Win32 console.
DMIScope Automation support allows to access SMBIOS structures from Java and VBasic scripts.
A built-in hardware debugger gives an immediate access to PC hardware without a need to install a separate debugger program.
DMIScope is designed to run on all modern Windows platforms.

DMIScope can take a snapshot of your system to share with another DMIScope user to ask advice etc about your system, sort of remote assistance.

    Cheers littleone:)
