BIOS update question

    Hello everybody,
    I have question - My current BIOS contains SLIC. If I update the BIOS with new version will I lose SLIC or not?

    If it is branded machine i,e dell, hp, e.c.t and it came with slic no you wont lose it but if it a modded bios yes you will.

    Thanks for your answer, urie. It's a Toshiba laptop and it comes with SLIC.

    When modifying the OEM BIOS files do you have to change something in the BIOS file to tell it to write the SLIC informaiton? For instance, I download an ASUS file and the SLIC informaiton isn't populated. I populate it and flash the BIOS will the information be written or do I have to change a flag to make sure it writes?
