BIOS update will support Windows 8 ?

    Hello

    I recently bought Toshiba laptop.It comes with BIOS version 1.7.I installed windows 8 and got several issues (mainly drivers problems)so I reinstalled windows 7 again.

    But yesterday I noticed that there is a new update for my BIOS (version 6.3)In the description it says it supports windows 8.So if I install this BIOS update , can I install windows 8 without a problem ?

    You need to use appropriate drivers as well.

    can you please explain what BIOS update really do here ? what they mean it supports windows 8 ? :confused:

    Most probably its optimized for Windows 8's new shutdown mechanism; most of the bios updates fix that. To get proper info, search Toshiba forums or drop a mail to Toshiba support.
