Hello, I have a Dell Optiplex 775 with the A04 BIOS (SLIC 2.0). Can I upgrade the BIOS with the A15 BIOS (SLIC 2.1)? The file is: O755-A15-SLIC21.exe (rebuilt Dell flasher) mod and tested by Dexterman. It can be found in this topic: Dell - Phoenix Manual Mod Thread. Sorry, but I can't post links.
No I cannot test it I do not have Dell Optiplex 775 but acording to phoenix tool 2.51 bios mod was successfull Code: SLIC module size is 374 bytes SLIC module checksum is 0 Pubkey found in 29_28.ROM at 0 ** Pubkey found in 29_28.ROM at 0 replaced Marker found in 2A_29.ROM at 0 ** Marker found in 2A_29.ROM at 0 replaced 'SLIC' string found in 02_3.ROM at 4995 OEM/Table IDs identified are: 1. Ok, and is SLIC 2.1 included in the file you've uploaded to sendspace? And how can I install it? Just installing the .exe file? And what can I do if it fails?
If you don't know that, better you keep your hand's of from that! That's simply 'delicate' stuff which should be done from those who what they're doing, only! The SLIC 2.1 is included as usie wrote already, or did you have problems with reading English?!
I have updated my BIOS to A22, and now I have SLIC 2.1 @pisthai: No, I don't have problems with reading English, I just read too fast. Maybe my English writing is bad, because I am Dutch.
Thank you for conformation that bios mod works, if you had posted in correct bios mods requests section to start with then other members would now gain knowing mod is available
