bios

    Anyone have experience to reset the administrator Bios password for HP Probook 640 G1 ?
    Please advise.

    You could try this however its not guaranteed to work.

    Only other options would be to contact HP about this or replace the BIOS chip.

    yes reset the bios its usually a little two pin connector pull the connector off of the two pins its on and move it over 1 pin put back on leave it on for a few seconds then put it back on the original pins it was on and reboot, you will have to reset the boot sequence time and date ! good luck !

    Most Laptop's and/or Netbook's didn't having a Jumper (don't know about that specific model)!

    Most of the Laptop's and/or Netbook's did have an CMOS Battery. Just remove that CMOS Battery and short the 2 connectors on MB for a few seconds. That should clear the CMOS/BIOS include the Password.

    Just for to be sure, look up the Internet for an Service Manual for your Device/Model!
