so im using a biostar board right now (mcp6p m2+ v6.2) and what I want to do is to add support for a new cpu - specifically the phenom ii x4 960t. Biostar features a few AM2+ socket boards that have support for the 960t, but not mine, and I'm sure they're not going to update a bios when they can just expect someone to buy a completely new mobo.

what i want to do is reference the code from the bios of another mobo and then put it into mine.

so im wondering if this is even a feasible idea. I also have andyp's awardtool downloaded, but i need a push in the right direction so i can start looking at different modules.

OP, have you been able to figure this out? I have a spare 960T and the exact same mobo, so I'd love to try to do the same.

I hope you wouldn't mind sharing the specifics of what you did if you do get it to work, such as what BIOS you started with and where you got the microcode patches to add to it.
