Black screen on my acer aspire 5536 (Windows 7)

    Black screen on my acer aspire 5536 i heard that i should flash the bios but i dont know how to do that please help.

    Dont flash it wzup. (you could`nt anyway, as you would`nt be able to see what was happening)

    Does the laptop sound like its starting up ( do you hear the fan )?
    Does the power light stay on when you switch on?
    Is HDD light flashing?

    If all seems ok, connect the laptop to an external monitor using the vga, do you have a picture?
    You may need to press alt & F4 i think it is to switch display.

    Please let us know the above.

    at the startup can i hear my fan sound for like 1 second and then goes off. the power light stays on and so does the hdd light it doesnt flash at all just like the power light.

    Soz for long delay been busy wzup,
    Dio you have a picture externally on a monitor?
    Take the hard drive out and see if it boots and says no drive detected...if so, suspect HD
