Black screen on starting ACER help needed

    Hi everyone ,
    I am a newby and i need your help for recover the BIOS on 2 laptop with a USB stick .
    - ACER aspire 1650
    - ACER Extensa 5010 .

    Could someone can explain me step by step the process ?

    Before you start messing about with bios check the ram and make sure that the ram is not the cause of the black screen, check the screen cable too, remove the battery and ac adapter and press and hold the power button for up to a 60 seconds than plug in the ac adapter and turn on the pc, eliminate all these possibilities before trying the bios trick, You could make it worst when it could be a simple fix.

    Hi everyone ,

    Thanks abbs2002 , i've tried your solution on ACER 1650 and now it works !! (but , i also changed the battery bios (cr 1220)) .Not working on extensa 5010 , i'll try the recovery method..
