Ok so a few of my icons on my desktop have the blue and yellow sheild icons, this happens when u have UAC on. Which i did when i first downloaded programs, but i then turned UAC off completely... THe icons are still there ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling.. Rebooting multiple times, the stupid shields wont go away.. Anyone have an easy fix? Merry Christmas
It did this in Vista too, the only way I have found to get rid of the icons is to reinstall. When You do, make sure you have no programs you want to install on the computer until after disabling UAC and restart....
