I have a USB BT dongle that I use with BT headphones. After resuming from sleep, I can connect to the headphones, but there is no sound. It only works normally after I unplug and plug it back again. I tried with two different dongles, one is old (BT 3, I think) the other is newer (BT 5.0). It's the same with both. Should I try to install some 3rd party BT drivers, perhaps? Right now I'm using the default Windows ones.
Its a long shot but maybe usb selective suspend setting in advanced power settings of your power plan is responsible for those issues, worth a try at least to eliminate one variable.
I found a workaround. Apparently disabling "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator" in Device Manager and then enabling it again fixes the issue. So, it acts like pulling the USB BT out and back in. This can then be automated with a MS utility called devcon and Task Scheduler. It's a bit messy, but it works for now. I still welcome other suggestions, though.
