    hello,

today i got some strange error in my Dell Latitude D630 laptop .
when i do restart to my laptop , i get this error:

"No bootable devices--strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility
press F5 to run onboard diagnostics"

no matter what i do i cant pass this screen just by press f1.
now i have install windows 7 home edition and i notice that when i place the setup disk in my DVD drive , windows is starting.
once i get to windows , its look like everything is ok, my hdd is recognized with no issues.
i did a reinstall windows but this error keep on going.
    what it could be ?

go to bios and go to maintenance.. load setup defaults. then ESC and save and exit.
    bios version ?
hard disk might be going bad.. diagnostics= hold FN key while pressing power.. will run diagnostics.. if error code 0142 or 0146 hdd is bad..or return code 7 bad sectors.
