    Hello there!

I'm a loyal reader of the My Digital Life forums but never subscribed until now, as I have always found answers to my questions. This time I didn't.

I just bought a second hand Dell Latitude E4400, which looks to be working fine so far. But there's a custom logo displayed at boot, just after power up, instead of the usual Dell logo.

I'd like to restore the OEM logo, and I'm not sure how to do it. There's no option in the BIOS menu, so I wonder if it's written into the BIOS, and if recovering a BIOS would help? Maybe it's locked, I have to admit I haven't tried already. As it's BIOS related and is hazardous, I prefer to ask before doing anything wrong.

    What do you think? :)

Have you tried re flashing an original dell bios? Even if it's the same version, it will contain dell bitmaps...
