boot W7 Ultimate X64 vhd

    i have created a windows 7 ultimate x64 vhd but when i try to boot it gives me a BSOD saying it cant boot the VHD is there anyway to fix this?

    no i extracted the wim with gimagex

    not clear on what img you have? and what you are trying to do. If you have an ISO you can use the above tool and make a bootable DVD/USB

    edit: ok sorry misread . VHD . Don't know on virtual disk

    i have a Windows 7 X64 Ultimate disc which i made an ISO of and then took out the install.wim file
    i then used gimagex.exe to extract the wim to the VHD which i then tried to boot

    looked at that and followed it all but still got the BSOD

    straight after the windows starting animation thing :s
