hello everyone. I'am new to this community. how can I convert my clean and fully udapted XP partition into a bootable ISO ? I don't want to create a backup image and then restore it after XP installation I don't want to mess around with nlite or alike programs because it's a nightmare
Do you mean you want your bootable ISO to be like a "Live CD"? or Do you mean you want to create a bootable ISO that will install a fresh "fully updated" version of XP each time you boot from it?
It's probably only troll, when calling easy GUI application like nLite nigtmare. If not I’m appologize.
Yes that was exactly what I was going to say but I thought I would give the benefit of the doubt and wait for an answer.
I have been checking out that alternative but I don't much like update packages made by others if I have to spend time with this method I just install XP integral edition and it's done. also depending on the installed sotware (office for example) one may need different windows updates for each different version I'm not sure everything is already included in that OnePice international pack though...
Integral edition is based on OnePiece Update too (it's some kind of lite package). These packs are almost complete. We found only few things that needs to be polished. It's up to you what solution you choose. XP2ESD doesn't include any software, it's always on user preferences.
almost... as expected. I haven't yet checked XP intergal edition with the WUMT method to see whether it reports newer updates. OK. it doesn't include any software but as mentioned above I can't be certain all WMP10 updates are included or have been replaced by the WMP11 ones...
You can always see changelog and CAT files to be sure there are all of updates. Of course there is one update lost in time, and won't be included as nobody have that file these days. WMP10 is replaced by WMP11, so no need to talk about it. Feel free to check included updates and search for missing ones (there are no common missing updates at all). Also no superseeded updates are in UpdatePacks.
