I have Vista installed and now bought a new HDD and want to install Vista in the new HDD. After installation of Vista in the new partition I will have both installations in the Boot Manager.

Now how can I remove the Vista from the old installation partition without loosing the other O/S (XP) and the new Vista? If I format the old partition then am sure I'll be having the error BootLdr missing. So I want to keep only XP and new Vista running and old Vista to be cleaned from the previous partition>?

    :(

    uhm what ?

You cant remove the bootloader beacuse its part of the os...

Install xp, install xp drivers, update etc then install vista = done.

    You wont loose anything.

What are you afraid of ? you still want to delete the old oem vista..
Start xp setup, remove all you dont want, install it and then install vista..

Why not install to one drive instead of 2 ?

or learn by trial and error = the hard way :p
