Hello everyone, I am new on this forum and I need help to resurect my HP 650. Somehow I've flashed wrong BIOS and can't resurect it using USB stick and UEFI. HP 650 Serial number: 5CB2273Y0M Insyde bios sticker: B046 (8263) I've took apart my laptop and found inside Winbond W2580BVSIG and using Willem programmator I've read this flash into .bin (dump attached). hxxp://4shared.com/rar/FSeHxdt0ba/w25q80b_orig.html? On HP website there is BIOS update but inside this update is bios update but in .fd format and I can't convert it to .bin using Andyp tool ://// It would be good if someone can merge new BIOS with mine so I can flash it back to chip (( Thank you
I've found that phoenixtool can decode version F12 and I've even tried to flash it to chip, but same again. Do I need to merge my original dump from chip to this one and how? Thank you
Tnx urie, quala, mazzif... I've tried all those options but without success. I think only hope is to flash dump directly to chip with eeprom programmator but I don't have working dump in .bin format Tnx

Tell me... do you know, I have 4 files here: F35_BID01859_EC.bin (1 MB) F35_BID01859_Main.bin (4 MB) and F35_BID01858_EC.bin (1 MB) F35_BID01858_Main.bin (4 MB) What is EC and what is Main? What file I should write? Dump from Winbond W2580BVSIG is 1 MB then I guess I should write EC... but what to do with "Main". On motherboard there is one more Winbond flash 25q32BVSIG... maybe I should flash larger one here or...? Thank you
I've found out that EC stands for Embedded Controller and MAIN is BIOS so I guess I have to flash both chips and then both of them will be same version. I will post results soon. TNX

And now everything is ok dumps are good... I've flashed main (4MB) to winbond w25q32 and EC (1MB) to winbond w25q80 and laptop is up and running There is just 1 error message every time I power on laptop like there is no serial number and laptop model but I can continue start up by pressing Enter .
