    Hi,

After I had installed windows 8 [from windows 7 pro] on my HP Pavilion dv6 1215ee, I was trying to merge the 1w00 mb that is present in the hard disk (for the bios) to my 500 gb. Now my system keeps restarting again and again saying that an error occurred. My BIOS version is F.24. I am complete noob to this. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rohit

find out which board id it is to name proper file. (what board id is it under battery ?)
    3627
    3628
    3629
    3623
    3624

does not seem to be RSA encrypted but it is EFI Insyde type

rename the bios file from sp44138.exe 3623F24.fd to 3623.bin not sure if it needs 0 in front like new boards also make sure its in usb in Hewlett-Packard\Bios\Current
optionaly u can try to recover the file in HP_Tools deleted partition with find and mount.

now take power and battery out and plug in usb.
hold Fn Esc or Win B or all 4 arrows while pluggin in ac power cord
now power it on still holding the key combo.. hold the keys for about 20 seconds or so
