    Hi,

just curious if any of you have seen this before.

On an Vista64 Installation with SP1 installed I tried to install the newly published SP2. Of course I applied the 64bit version, but at the rebot I got a BlueScreen indicating Multiprocessor_Configuration_not_supported, which is very strange because my Intel Quadcore 9650 went fine before.

    Here are my Specs
    ASUS P5WDH, latest Bios
    NVIDIA XFX 8800 GTX
    8GB RAM
    Intel Q9650 @ 3GHz
    Couple of SATA Disks

    Any ideas welcome

It could be the ram. Did you upgrade recently?

No I had 8GB before and after. Although I recently upgraded my CPU and RAM I belive that I did a fresh install after that.

I was meanwhile able to repair the system with the repair functionality (booting from Vista DVD). So I now have the system back in a way before the SP2 installation.

BSOD right after Vista SP2 install

    Hi again,

just to let you know that today I tried the SP2 on another Vista Install and got the very same error.

I hope that there is anyone out there who has successfully applied the SP2 to this board - maybe it is not possible as all.

    Regards Gunhawk
