I have the same problem, and really want to try this, but got no reply as to this was safe to do (in safe mode for me). If it helps, I want to try this method, but without a concrete confirmation that this helps, I am a bit scared that my PC might completely die on me, because a friend once told me that if you mess with the registry, you might wreck your PC. Or can any problems be solved with a repair (i.e. to set my PC back to a couple of days ago). Can anyone help me with this?
BugCheck ( BSOD ) 0x116 is related to GRAPHICS_DRIVER_TDR_FAULT which is a failure of the power management system. To make long story short: uninstall the old driver and download the latest one from your oem homepage or either from the nvidia.com/drivers hp.
Well, I've tried that already, but I'll just do it again, but more thorough. Thanks for the reply, anyway!
